Can I make image in a virtual machine? Can you? This would require acquiring a single volume license key. In general though, this is not a good idea. Supporting fat images is not recommended and adds complexity and overhead and pain. The general trend today is to deploy Windows from the media and then layer on all changes after the Windows image is installed.
This can all be done with a single deployment task sequence and greatly simplifies the process and overhead involved. Do you have example sequence task for computers with an OEM license? I would like to use a task sequence to install programs, update DELL drivers, update Windows and configure Windows settings.
